Dolphin Suites

Mambo Beach is close by, with lovely clean sand and free access to Madeiro Beach Club. Restaurants and shops along Mambo Beach Blvd are nearby too. We also appreciated the complimentary grocery shuttle. The resort itself is family-friendly and cozy, with comfortable rooms, welcoming and attentive staff, especially Chantal and Sherone, and refreshing salt water and mineral water pools. Kids can borrow pool floats and toys as well as sand toys for the beach, and there's a drying rack in the room for wet swimsuits. Breakfast at Reef Restaurant was delicious. I'd suggest daily housekeeping, full sized bed pillows, and face or wash cloths in the suites.

The beds were really comfortable and the linens clean, and the suite felt both spacious and cozy. I stayed a few days with friends and we had a great time. There were a couple of stains on the couch and some leaves on the floor when we arrived that should have been swept up. They supplied all the other towels, but not washcloths, which was a minor inconvenience. The staff were attentive and friendly. I'd happily stay here again.

The location was nice, the pool was pleasant, and they provide free beach chairs. Still, our stay left a bad taste. One room's AC never worked, despite us asking several times for a repair in 29-degree heat. Nothing was done to make up for going without it the whole stay. We also reported money missing from our room, but staff didn't address it. There was no compensation for either problem.

Parking our rental car was a hassle since there are fewer spaces than rooms, though you can rent a spot and ask for the money back later. The welcome was warm, the staff friendly, and our room very clean and great. Breakfast was included and good. There's a pool right outside, beach chairs at Mambo are included, and a special chair lift is available for disabled guests. The room had a small kitchenette, fridge, and Nespresso machine. It was partly a business trip for us, but there was plenty of room to relax.
