The Reef at Blue Bay Golf & Beach Resort

Crystal greeted us and was patient, kind, and very knowledgeable about the property. She helped us throughout the visit. Whenever I had a concern, it was acknowledged, which made the stay smooth. Angela was wonderful too, very accommodating and understanding, and I truly appreciate her help. The room was lovely, and the stay was peaceful while still being close to everything we needed. The beach on the property is beautiful. I absolutely loved my stay and had an amazing experience. I recommend it 1000000 % and will surely come back. Thanks to everyone who welcomed me to this beautiful island and made my time in Curacao even better. I hope everyone I met stays well.

We enjoyed our modern, comfortable rental at the reef, but had a couple of bug encounters, and the front desk woman didn't seem interested in helping. We read mixed reviews beforehand about walking to Blue Bay. Technically you can, but it's quite far and the hills are steep. After a beach day in 95 degree heat, you're probably not going to want to walk back up. We drove our rental car and the trip took about two minutes.

What an awesome vacation! You can rent a car on site at a reasonable price. The beaches are decent, but water socks are a must because there are coral shards everywhere.

I recommend renting a car on the island to avoid the cost of taking lots of taxis. A grocery store with all the essentials is very close by. There's currently a lot of construction near The Reef, so expect morning noise. We celebrated my birthday at The Reef at Blue Bay, and the property arranged convenient airport transportation. The driver was waiting outside with a sign with my name and took us to a clean, spacious Suburban. Our apartment was ready when we arrived, but there was no elevator and our unit was on the third floor. We struggled up with our luggage until a young woman from the office helped us. I can't remember her name, but I think it was Angel, a young Black woman with dreads. We had a clean, pleasant two-bedroom penthouse with pretty much everything we needed. The large balcony had a beautiful view, and I spent a lot of time out there. The pool was nice, usually quiet, and always clean. The air conditioning was restricted, which I understand given the island's efforts to conserve electricity. The secondary bathroom floor had to be squeegeed after every shower, which wasn't ideal. There are no TVs in the bedrooms. The walk to the beach takes 10 to 15 minutes over hills, so driving is better. Signs on the way to the beach were missing or sparse, and some arrows pointed left when they should have pointed straight ahead. There were no signs on the way to the exit either, so finding the beach was difficult. Once we found it, we liked it. The food at Coast Beach Restaurant was bad. My bun was stale and my friend's waffle was like cardboard, and that's all I have to say about that. Even with those issues, I'd definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone I know visiting.
