Comfort Inn Amherst

After my first ever tour date in nearby Oxford, I stayed at the newly renovated Comfort Inn in Amherst, Nova Scotia. Coming back from a long show, the calm, comfortable room was just what I needed. It was spacious, stylish, spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The renovation feels fresh and modern while still warm and welcoming, and the sunrise and view made for a peaceful start to the day. The food was fresh and plentiful, just right before getting back on the road. Apollo at the front desk was kind and warm, and Front Office Manager Rakesh Shetty gave me such thoughtful hospitality. They made me feel genuinely looked after. If you're visiting Amherst or performing near Oxford Capitol Theatre, I highly recommend Comfort Inn Amherst. I look forward to coming back.

I ended up staying three nights at this Comfort Inn at the last minute because of the weather while heading north. It was very clean and comfortable, and the service from every department was great. My dog was welcomed with treats and affection. The price felt very reasonable, and the location was easy, with restaurants and stores right nearby. I'll stay again when I travel back south.

We felt at home from the moment we walked in, and the attention to detail is clear everywhere. It may be listed as a two-star hotel because of its amenities, but for cleanliness and friendliness, I'd give it five. Recently renovated and a fantastic place to stay. Thank you to Mr. Shetty and the whole team, we love staying here!

The beds were comfortable, breakfast had a decent range of choices, and the location was handy. There are fast-food places within walking distance, with a Superstore and Walmart across the street. I especially liked the coffee station, which had regular and strong options in both decaf and regular. There's a microwave too, so I could warm milk before adding strong coffee. One thing to know: my room felt too warm at night, even with the window open, though I prefer a cold room. The AC won't run when it's under 18°C outside.
