Arnold's Cove Inn

We haven't stayed at the Inn, but we've eaten there twice and loved the food both times. My husband ordered the roast turkey dinner, while I had the turkey and dressing sandwich with wedge fries and gravy. The staff were really friendly too. We'll be back next time we're nearby.

I booked online without looking into it enough, and the hotel turned out dirty and sketchy. It's in the middle of nowhere, and I suspect it was built for workers staying overnight rather than people on vacation. They called to ask when we'd arrive because staff were leaving around 6 pm. After we checked in, they left, though they assured us it was safe because there were cameras everywhere. That was supposed to make it feel safe, I guess.

We didn't stay overnight, just stopped at the restaurant on our way to Bonavista. It's a great place to eat off the highway, between the more touristy spots. The food was apparently made in-house, there were lots of menu choices, and the prices were very reasonable. The staff are especially kind, even by NL standards. Definitely recommend it.

The beds were comfortable, but the room hadn't been properly turned over. The garbage was still there from the previous guest, and the sink was completely clogged, so we had to use the bathtub to brush our teeth and wash our face and hands.
