There was plenty to make meals, including a toaster, kettle, cooktop, utensils, a big fridge, and a small microwave. The room also had a queen bed, a sofa bed, a little balcony, a TV, and a kitchen island. It was a lovely space to spend time with family and friends. This was our first visit. The rotten-egg smell hit us as soon as we checked in and took a couple of hours to clear, but after that the stay had everything we needed.
The unit was cozy, tidy, and comfortable, and the price for two winter nights was reasonable. It's a five-minute drive to blue mountain village. I'd maybe recommend it, but the service and operations were a different story. We got three knocks at short intervals on the second night, apparently because someone thought we'd checked out and the unit was booked for another person. That was embarrassing for both of us. The door code we got by email had already changed before check-in, and then changed again while we were at the village. Coming back from the cold with two kids and a baby to find ourselves locked out, then having to call for help, was frustrating. Neatness and location: five stars. Service and operations: three.
The host was quick, clear, and pleasant to deal with. The instructions were easy to follow, and all we really had to do was take out the garbage and recycling. We had a lovely stay in a perfect location and would return. The walls aren't very soundproof, which was about the only downside. We visited at the end of September, when the price was quite reasonable, though it may be different in peak summer or winter.
The location is hard to beat for skiing at Blue, and there was always plenty of parking. Just be ready for noise: the walls are thin, and from a ground-floor unit you can hear every footstep overhead, like elephants stomping around. Bring earplugs!
It was warm and the room was clean and tidy, with a kitchen, utensils, and cooking spices. We had a good stay and I'd still recommend it, though you can hear footsteps from the floor above. I booked for two people, no pet, through a third-party app. The app called it Rustic Mountainside Chalet, but at that same address the sign said North Creek Resort, in case that's helpful. Check-in was the difficult part: it's all online, there was no front desk staff, and the instructions weren't clear. After trying to reach them for a while, I could only get through by text. Once the online self check-in was done, we got a room number and door code. Check-in was at 4 pm and check-out at 11 am.
