The walls are pretty thin, so I could hear my neighbour's TV for part of the night, though he went to bed early and it didn't bother me. My room was comfortable and the price was fair. The staff were really kind. When I was working in blizzard conditions, they lent me a shovel for the morning in case I got stuck. I'd stay at the Villager Motel again if I was working nearby.

Hi Ms. Mary Graham, I'm Jay from Burstall Motel. On Mar. 5, 2016, my partner Joseph called me. You'd spoken with him by phone three times, and he'd told me Google had emailed us about your review for Villager Motel. Villager Motel had put your review under my motel's listing. I considered calling you, but didn't, because it didn't seem fair to my business to have the review remain there forever. Here's what I checked with Joseph. On Feb. 23, 2016, you called to reserve one night, Feb. 26, under the name J******, with phone number 403-8xx-xxxx and credit card number 54xx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx. You hadn't arrived by 7 PM on Feb. 26, so Joseph called to ask when you'd get there. You said your plans had changed and you couldn't come. He explained the cancellation policy and said he'd charge the room rate to the card number you'd provided. You then said you'd come the next day, Feb. 27, and asked him not to charge you. You even mentioned that you worked for a hotel. The following day, you called again and said your plans had changed once more, and that you'd check in on Mar. 1. On Mar. 1, you neither checked in nor called us. Joseph called again and learned you weren't coming. Joseph and I discussed charging you for the room, then decided not to. That's Joseph's account of what happened, and to me it makes more sense than yours. Burstall Motel has five buildings, plus a garage and storage building, with 26 guest rooms. Fourteen rooms were built in 1998, six in 2002, and six in 2008. None date from the 1970s or even the 1980s. We've never allowed pets in rooms, not because we dislike them. We love animals, especially dogs, but they're difficult to clean up after. The same reason applies to cigarettes. All rooms are non-smoking. If you'd mentioned your lovely pet from the start, this whole nonsense and fiction wouldn't have happened. If you have any issues about this, feel free to contact me. I wish you all the best. P.S. A tip for you, since you work at a hotel: washing shower curtains and window coverings isn't seasonal work. It should be done daily.
