Lorrie was a lovely host and made fantastic breakfasts on both mornings of our two-night Vancouver Island tour stop. We had blueberry pancakes the first day, then omelettes the next. She also shared fascinating stories about her life in Canada and gave us great suggestions for places to visit.

The room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed, great views, and lots of thoughtful little extras. Downtown is easy to reach on foot, but the best part of our two nights at Money Pennies was Lorrie. She was friendly and incredibly helpful, cooked us two wonderful breakfasts, and gave us good restaurant tips for the area. We’ll make this our go-to when we’re back in Campbell River.

We had blueberry pancakes for breakfast and got helpful suggestions for things to do nearby. Lorrie was welcoming and really nice, and the room was great, with a beautiful view. Perfect stay!

We needed somewhere for the night, and Lorrie’s B&B stood out among all the corporate chains. She’s kind, caring, and interesting, and made us feel at home and relaxed right away. We had a clean, Covid-sensitive space, a private bathroom, and excellent accommodations. Breakfast was delicious and A+, at a time we agreed on together. The entertaining stories and adventures from her life were a bonus. Thanks again for a memorable stay. Highly recommend!

Breakfast was magnificent: orange juice, a mushroom omelette, potatoes, toast, and hot coffee, though the serving window was strict, from 7 to 8:30am. Lori used to own a restaurant, and it shows in how well she understands hospitality. My wife and I stayed a night on our way to North Vancouver Island. The spacious, bright room was spotless and furnished to 4-star hotel standards, with white fluffy bathrobes, bedside tables with easy-to-reach outlets, and a small desk. It’s up a flight of beautifully made maple (?) wood stairs. The house was built by a former craftsman. Recommended for a weary traveller.
