The room was warm and we couldn't get enough air in to sleep because the windows wouldn't open, with signs on the sills. Aside from that, it worked well for our one-night stay: a little apartment suite right by the water, with a queen bedroom, pullout couch, small kitchen, and a jetted tub.

The room was very expensive, as most places in Chéticamp seemed to be while I was there, and the staff were generally just okay. Still, Suite 1 was huge, with a great bed and bathroom and wonderful views from its upper, bay-facing corner. The AC was dirty, worn and squeaky, and since the windows couldn't be opened, there was no other way to get air.

After hiking the Cabot Trail, that jacuzzi tub was a godsend. We were upgraded to the largest suite for free, the Highland Suite, which is basically a one-bedroom apartment with a good view and a really clean room. It had an oven-microwave combo, a stovetop, a separate microwave, coffeemaker, kettle and a decent range of dishes. Wifi was fine for browsing, and the TV had Bell TV, though apparently no Netflix or other streaming. Checkout time was a little confusing: we were told 10am, the check-in card said 11am, and the confirmation email said 10:30am. It caused no trouble when we checked out. We had a lovely stay.

We picked up groceries at the local co-op and cooked a nice dinner in the suite, which had what we needed. It felt like having our own apartment right on the water, and was a wonderful first stop on our Nova Scotia trip. The Harbour Restaurant and Bar is downstairs and run by the same people if you'd rather eat out.

The management was very accommodating, and the restaurant was excellent. Our room was spotless, in a great location, with stunning views.
