St Jude Hotel

The restaurant served good food, and the service there was great. We also found the rooms clean and quiet, and the front desk staff were friendly. The location works perfectly for people commuting across the island. When we travel from the west coast to St. John’s, this will definitely be our place to stay. Good job!

The rooms were really nice and comfortable, but our experience with Terry the worker wasn’t. At first he was fine. The hockey players were being hockey players, playing mini sticks and all that. When we asked Terry to sort out a TV problem, though, he refused and spoke to us disrespectfully. He said it was 1 a.m. and told us to go to bed. He also told a couple of kids that their parents had a sad life because they were socializing in the room and the kids had to entertain themselves. Saying that to a kid is unacceptable.

We needed a wheelchair, and one was available right away. From check-in through checkout, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The hotel was spotless, our room was beautiful, and the beds were very comfortable. We ordered room service after arriving, and both the food and service were excellent. Breakfast the next morning was good too. We stayed on our way home from St. John’s, and I’d highly recommend this hotel.

The beds were some of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and the rooms were so peaceful you wouldn’t know the hotel was right off the highway. The night manager made sure we got adjoining rooms, even though we weren’t sure it would be possible during that season. We’d requested them, and really appreciated the care and effort. We had dinner at Bella’s, the restaurant attached to the hotel, then went back for breakfast. The food was some of the best we had on the whole trip, local or otherwise. The chefs should be proud. The staff were kind, and we wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
