Hillside Cottages

It was quiet and relaxing, and this ended up being one of our favourite places from our weeks travelling around Newfoundland. We stayed in a rainbow pod, which was adorable and much roomier than the photos made it look. The indoor pool was amazing, and the on-site store had lots of things we might need. Our cabin also came with a BBQ and fireplace. There was a chipstand too, but it was closed while we were there, so I can't comment on it. I absolutely recommend it!

The working BBQ was great, and we loved staying here for a few quiet days. One thing I'd change: the bedroom had thin white shades, and we wanted to sleep later than 6 am, so darker curtains would have helped. Otherwise, an awesome place to stay.

The cabins were really clean and comfortable. Ours was missing a TV remote, but we made do by exploring the local towns. I also couldn't find any information about when the main office opened in the morning. Check-out is at 10 am, and for travellers leaving early, it'd be helpful to know when someone can take the keys. The cabins were spacious, and their distinctive paint schemes made the stay feel especially unique and picturesque.

The pods are super clean and have a lot more room than I expected. They have AC, plenty of spots to put food, and even a coffee maker. I’m sitting in one as I write this, and so far it’s been awesome. There are tables outside where it’s nice to sit in the evening, and the decks are really nice too. Some people are playing music on a speaker, but that’s just been my experience, and it’s fine with me. I recommend it, 9/10.
