Lotus Motel

A clean, comfy little place that did what I needed, at a reasonable rate. The beds are comfortable, and I like that there’s no carpet, which is great for people with allergies. Bring your own hair dryer, as there isn’t one in the room. The coffee is an instant packet with coffeemate and sugar already mixed in, which isn’t my favorite, but McDonalds and Wendys are right next door. I’d stay again. A decent place for sure. MC

I’m on the road a lot, and this was one of my best stays. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the property is well maintained. The manager was polite, friendly, and courteous. This will be my go-to when I’m in Cobourg.

I was very pleased with my two-night stay while visiting a relative in the hospital. The location was perfect, and McDonalds, Wendys, and Tim Horton are right next door for quick meals. The room and bathroom were spotless, the bed comfortable, and the motel quiet at night. There’s a refrigerator and microwave. It isn’t fancy, and it’s rated two stars because it has no extra amenities, but I’d call it a three-star motel. The proprietor was helpful too.

The location is handy for anyone heading east from Toronto, just south of the 401, and there’s a Timmy’s only two minutes away. Lake Ontario is a few minutes south, with Rice Lake to the north. Lotus Motel has large, clean rooms and bathrooms, welcoming staff, early check-in when requested, and reasonable rates. I’d happily stop here for a break or overnight stay. Five out of five, highly recommended.
