The owner was very nice, and we might have enjoyed the surroundings if the rain hadn’t kept us from exploring. But the price didn’t feel justified for us. The room came with earplugs, which made sense because the walls are thin and sound travels a lot. The kitchen floor was sticky, and quite a few dishes weren’t clean. For $50 a night for a private room, I’d have had no complaints, especially since we’ve stayed in plenty of hostels. At the rate we paid, though, it wasn’t worth it.

The woodland setting is incredible, and the place has a relaxed, welcoming feel. We were there just overnight, got a large room, and were greeted warmly. Some bathrooms, kitchen, and living areas are shared or private, as I soon figured out. The other guests were friendly and helped us find things.

We found it inexpensive and loved the atmosphere. The property is beautiful, and the rooms are decent. It works especially well if you have a group and want to rent the whole cabin. The owner was extremely nice and pointed out nearby hiking trails and other good places to visit.

Bonnie’s a wonderful host, and the trail network here is incredible, with beautiful views at every turn. Love this place, highly recommend!
