The floor was the dealbreaker for me. My light socks went black, so I learned to keep my shoes on, and management really needs to mop. The cleaner left a harsh ammonia smell, like a hospital, and should be replaced with something better scented. Still, it was a basic place that was semi-clean, with no bugs, a working door lock, friendly service, a comfortable bed, and good water pressure. For a last resort, it was okay and cheap. I don’t regret staying, but I wouldn’t return at over $125 a night in Cranbrook. This felt like a $50 motel.

It was easy to find and fairly well located, with a good pub not far away. There weren’t breakfast spots nearby, and the front desk couldn’t suggest any. In the room, an overpowering air freshener gave me a terrible headache, and the floors were so dirty that the bottoms of our feet turned black. That gives you the idea.

The woman who checked me in was friendly and personable, and I’d stay here again. It’s easy to find, with enough parking, in a nice neighborhood off the main road. The bars and restaurants downtown aren’t too far away. The complex is small but laid out well; my room was clean, with a good-sized bathroom, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. A great deal for the price.

We needed a place for one night on the way to Alberta with our family of four, and this motel worked perfectly. The flowers outside the window were a nice touch. I had what I needed: a clean bed, a hot shower with good pressure, and a kitchenette.

We were close enough to walk to restaurants, which was handy. The owners were really nice, and I liked the patio and flowers. Our room was clean and the beds comfortable. Great value, and I’d stay again.
