The sauna and hot tub were small, but really nice and private. Check-in was easy, and the staff we met were helpful. The hotel was very clean and nicely set up, in a great location.

The rooms had recently been updated, and they were clean and better than I expected. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but was pleasantly surprised. The location is fantastic for exploring downtown. We could walk to every meal, shopping, and the Farmer’s Market. For the price, I’d recommend it.

The common lobby was spacious, with a sitting area, board games, and a shared bookshelf. It was a nice place to meet other people. The location was handy in downtown, with lots of brunch options nearby, though breakfast wasn’t included. In the room, there was a big smart TV, a fridge, a microwave, and a small window AC that worked pretty well. The bathroom renovation was done very well given the tight space and the building’s age. The towels were clean and soft, and the clean beds were comfortable. Good value, too. Noise carried quite a bit. I could hear other TVs, people walking upstairs, a baby crying, traffic through the window, and muffled conversation next door. It didn’t bother me much, and seems expected in an older building. There was no hair dryer in the room. Note there’s no elevator to the second floor.

A nice place for a few nights, with modern rooms and comfortable beds. The lobby still has an old-school look, but it was clean. There’s a hot tub and sauna for relaxing, and coffee and tea are available free around the clock.

The gym was large and well equipped, with a sauna, which was really impressive for a hotel this size. The shared kitchen and common space were also great for relaxing or meeting people. You could make coffee, wash dishes, choose from various teas, and sit at the tables and chairs. It was spacious and pleasant. The location was excellent, just a 3-4 minute walk to Independent for groceries and other shopping. The rooms themselves were small, with old furniture and beds that could’ve been more comfortable. Limited space and small windows meant not much natural light. Whether it’s a good value depends on the rate. At a moderate price it’s decent, but if the rate is high, the rooms aren’t comfortable enough to justify it.
