The food was delicious and better than I expected, and the room was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained after a long day. It’s easy to find and conveniently located, whether you’re passing through or staying longer. From arrival, the service was warm, friendly, and efficient. I had a wonderful stay in Drayton Valley and would highly recommend this hotel. I’ll be back!

We enjoyed our stay and would come back. The location worked perfectly for us and was easy to find, the rooms were lovely, and the beds were very comfortable. Staff were friendly and went the extra mile. My one small gripe was breakfast cutlery. Eating with plastic knives wasn’t great, and a bigger spoon would be useful too. Thanks!

I lost my chance to attend a very important, once-in-a-lifetime meeting because this hotel cancelled my room after repeatedly confirming it. The event was expected to draw 7,000 people, and seeing the man in person would have meant flying to Florida. I booked ahead and checked twice over the following weeks to make sure the room was still available. I now believe I missed my chance because of this hotel. I first booked through Booking.com on August 8, but about a week later they called to say the room had been cancelled. I contacted the hotel directly and confirmed a booking for Sept 5 with the front desk clerk, who guaranteed it wouldn’t be cancelled. Then on Sept 4, the same agent called and cancelled it. She said she’d look into it and call back, but never did, so I called again at 6 p.m. She remembered me and said a room had just been cancelled, but because rooms in town were scarce, they’d have to charge me more. I was furious. I had written confirmation with a confirmation number. When she wouldn’t give me the room, I asked for the manager. He said there was no room for us. Five minutes later, the cancelled room she’d mentioned was no longer available. This felt like a total scam. They lied and twisted things to upsell me, with no care for the client. There needs to be a change in government law to stop this kind of financial fraud. I’ll be contacting my MP and the Premier of Alberta.

The rooms are clean, quiet, and well kept, and the staff are so friendly and helpful that they even remember your first name if you stay a few times. Breakfast is hot, plentiful, and has a good variety. There’s also a small movie library you can borrow from for free, plus a meditation room and little gym. No pool at this location, but it’s right across from Boston Pizza lounge, which is way better if you’re an adult. The price is good, around 100$. I travel a lot for work and have stayed at just about every hotel brand, but foxwood is my go-to in Drayton because it feels like home. When you walk in, the place smells wonderful and homey from the free fresh coffee and homemade muffins they always have in the lobby 24 hours a day.
