Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel by APA

We spent more than an hour each evening at the pool, and really enjoyed the hot tub and steam sauna. There are decent restaurants, bars, pubs, and cafes nearby, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Our clean room was well equipped, had a great city view, and a very comfortable bed. We especially liked the bathroom's warm toilet seat, and everything worked properly. We came by Uber, so parking wasn't an issue, though we saw lots of available spots. After our long trip, the welcoming front desk made us feel great. The concierge was attentive in the lobby and helped us find the washrooms or stairs before we even had to ask. Three elevators served guests, and they were very fast, arriving almost every time in no time. One of our best hotel stays in a while. We'd definitely stay again when we get the chance to visit in edmonton. Really appreciate the staff for helping us have a great time.

I was unsure about booking here, since I'd had bad experiences at other hotels and wasn't expecting much for the rate. I was in town for a technical conference, and this one had the best price. I figured I could manage two nights. Instead, from parking for check-in onward, the room and service were a great experience and surpassed all my expectations. I've paid a fortune to stay in fancy hotels and had a better time here. I'm glad I chose it, and it will be my go-to when I visit Edmonton again. Great job, everyone!

The beds were comfortable, the pillows were nice, and our room was clean when we stayed recently. Getting through the parking lot and staircases feels more dated than the rest of the hotel. Still, I'd stay here again.

We could hear our neighbours making noise for hours, despite the claim that the rooms are soundproof. The bathroom fan didn't work, the shower had barely any pressure and only tepid water, and the smoke detector's strobe flashed all night. The room key cards had stopped working by 7 a.m. on checkout day. Check-in was unpleasant and took far too long. Paying for hotel parking is ridiculous. If you don't have a continental breakfast coupon, a small drip coffee costs $3.41, more than a proper coffee at a cafe. Makes me wonder what a bowl of cereal or a banana costs. I'll think twice before staying at a Coast/APA hotel again.
