We liked the gym, which had equipment like a Peloton bike and water row machine, and the hotel also has a hot tub, a small confectionary area, and paid underground parking. Getting there was confusing at night because there were no signs or curb markings showing where the main drop-off entrance was. The parking elevator is separate from the hotel elevator, so you have to exit at the main floor and transfer. The neighborhood felt sketchy, and I didn't feel safe walking around after dark. A couple of homeless men tried to grab my small toothpaste box when I went to the convenience store behind the hotel, as the front desk lady had suggested. I hurried back to the lobby and saw the young security guard looking at his phone. Reception also didn't have toothpaste available that day, which seems like an inventory problem. The staff were generally cheerful and helpful, though the night security didn't seem interested in his duties. My room appeared to be accessible because of the bathroom layout, but there was no trash bin in the bathroom. The TV had no kids' channel such as Treehouse. The bed was adequate, and there was a Keurig, a safe, and an ironing table. The air conditioning was so loud that we used earplugs to sleep. There isn't a complimentary breakfast buffet, though they do have a breakfast menu. We tried the regular platter with toast, egg, sausage, and hash browns, which cost almost $30. Probably won't come back to this location.

I’d rate this seven stars. The rooms were spotless, roomy, and well equipped, and the spa and high tech facilities were great. Breakfast was delicious each morning. The staff were welcoming and helpful the whole time, and went out of their way for guests. ❤️

The location worked perfectly for us, with the convention centre close enough to walk to, and nearby hotels were more expensive. Our room was very clean and matched the photos. The front desk and housekeeping staff were kind and friendly. We'd had a bad stay at Hilton NYC, so I'm glad we gave Hilton another chance and booked DoubleTree by Hilton Edmonton. For a 3-star hotel, it was much better than the NYC high-rise. The hot tub was out of order while we were there, which was a shame. I'd recommend it for a downtown Edmonton stay.

The room itself was nice enough, but the restaurant took over an hour to bring our food, and my salmon was raw in the middle. The waitress apologized and offered free dessert. Then the restaurant manager came over and asked if everything was okay in a really strange way. My Local booked the hotel for a union event and was covering everything. At checkout, the front desk tried to charge several of us $30 a night for parking, though they eventually waived it. Communication among the staff seemed nonexistent. It wasn't a good experience.

We had a good time here, though a few things got in the way. The TV remote only worked when I stood very close, and my room stayed freezing even with the heat turned all the way up. I couldn't find any public parking spaces outside the building. I also wasn't sure when the hot tub had last been cleaned, since there were quite a few particles floating in the water.
