Sandman Signature Edmonton South Hotel

Anna was fantastic, so helpful and welcoming, and made our stay memorable. The location was great, and it was handy to have both an amazing restaurant and Denny's for breakfast without leaving the hotel. My room worked well for an out-of-town work stay. It was the first hotel room I've had with a washer, dryer, and cooker, all in the king room. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean. Great stay, and I'd definitely come back.

As event coordinator for a national curling event, I booked close to 40 rooms for six days and didn't hear a single complaint or concern from our guests. The hotel was clean, with spacious, comfortable guest rooms and extremely pleasant, accommodating staff. We didn't use the pool or hot tub, though I saw others enjoying them. Dining was great: Denny's and Chop House were both good, with super staff. We also held our event wind-up banquet at the hotel, and the food, service, and room setup were all great. I highly recommend the hotel and look forward to staying again.

Navi made every morning feel welcoming, greeting me at the front desk with a warm smile and such a positive attitude. She checked that I was comfortable and had what I needed, and really went out of her way to help. I’ve never had hospitality this kind and thoughtful at a hotel. Sandman exceeded what I expected. Update: No one contacted us, but the receipt showed a 50% discount. That was kind, and we appreciate it. My fiance and I have stayed here at least 5-6 times, and the keycards have failed every visit. On our recent stay, Feb 12-13, there were fruit flies on the bed and in the kitchen, and the jacuzzi tub switched off by itself three times during the night. We couldn't change rooms because we were told none were available. While waiting for the elevator, other guests kept cutting in front of us and staff didn't step in. We raised everything at checkout, but there was no offer to help then. We were told the general manager would get in touch, so we'll see whether that happens. Spending $200 for a room with bugs and a jacuzzi that doesn't work properly was really disappointing. Using a family member's account to leave this review.
