Le Domaine de l'Étang

The cottage itself is fantastic, clean and in a great spot for the zoo and getting out into nature. The hot tub was nice too, but the daily time limit felt frustrating, especially when I got up before the kids hoping to relax and found the owner there. We came as a family, and the owner was on the property the whole time. His house is attached to the cottage, with a door between them. He'd come over while we were making a fire or cooking, stay close while the kids played outside, and even stop by when they were tossing pebbles into the water to warn them to be careful. It felt like too much. We leave the city to get away from the neighbors, not to have a similar experience. Apart from the interruptions and his insistence on the hot tub limit, everything was perfect.

That welcome basket on the first morning was such a lovely touch. Mr. Renaud was kind and attentive, and the chalet was spotless with lots of thoughtful details that made our stay better. We'd recommend it without hesitation. Thank you so much!

The kids had a great time outside with the goats and pond, and the setting was so peaceful and idyllic for a family stay. Renaud was very friendly, and we appreciated the welcome basket. The three bedrooms are roomy with plenty of storage. There’s a bathroom upstairs with a toilet and bathtub, plus a shower room downstairs with a toilet and shower. We’d love to come back if we can! 😊

The cottage was really clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. My two children and I enjoyed our stay, and they loved feeding the chickens and playing by the pond just behind the cottage. The host was welcoming and accommodating even though we arrived early. He also brought us a breakfast tray with fresh eggs from his chickens, freshly baked bread, and homemade jams. I recommend it without hesitation.
