Getting the room key was easy even though I arrived after hours. The room was clean and comfortable, and I'd happily stay here again.

The room was nice and had a good mountain view when we stayed here for the second time. There's no regular service: you pick up an envelope with the room key or card at the office, then leave it in the box outside the office door when you go. Around 3 a.m., someone let air out of both back tires by removing the valve stem caps. The man in the room below us told my husband a group of people were upset because they thought we'd taken their parking spot. We'd arrived in the early evening.

We were lucky to get great weather, and the view was spectacular. The pub next door made it easy to get delicious food, and the spot is convenient for a night in Haines Junction. The room itself was a standard motel room, nothing special. We were there during a music festival weekend, so it was probably noisier than usual. One musician was practicing their set in their room. I think they were trying to keep it down, but the bass guitar and amp still came through the walls. That's not really the motel's fault.

The rooms were fine, and the cleaning lady was very nice and sympathetic the next day. But on Easter Friday, a group of local young people booked a room for a party, drinking and yelling as they wandered in and out and around the parking lot. There didn't seem to be anyone on site to ask them to quiet down, and most of us didn't get much sleep. There was dog poo all over outside too, so watch where you step. I wouldn't stay on a Friday night.
