Atlantica Hotel Halifax

We had an incredible view, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. The rooms were cozy, the shower was spacious, and the gel, shampoo, and conditioner smelled amazing. The water pressure was poor, though, and there was no hand soap, just body lotion. I also wasn't keen on the scratchy bath towels. Our little bar fridge wasn't cold enough, so I turned it up. Be careful pulling it out, there was dust, a fork, and other junk behind it. Our room had no microwave, which disappointed me, though there is one in the lobby. The pool was cold, but I'm a wuss, and we both thought so. The hot tub was warm at 97°, nice for staying in a bit longer. When we first got to the pool, there were no towels. The front desk said someone would restock them, but the towel attendant only brought enough for the seven people already there who'd asked before us. She did bring more by the time we left. The exercise room had water for guests in the fridge. The location was handy, with Superstore within walking distance for food and snacks, plus NSLC for drinks.

We had a beautiful view from our window, and the room and pool were both comfortable and easy to get to. The staff were kind and accommodating. We also enjoyed the restaurant food, though it was a bit pricey. It worked well for a quick booking, and I'd recommend staying here if you want to experience Halifax.

I've stayed here around four different times and have had a fantastic experience overall. The bar and restaurant are good, though the restaurant prices are a little high. There are hundreds of other fast food places and restaurants around. The only thing that bothered me was that the hot tub on the second floor wasn't the cleanest.

The music in 2025-2026 was superb, and the front desk people were more than 100% all the way through. We need more kind, lovely people like Tanya and Tanya. That's right, Tanya. I'd give her 1,000 hugs, but they tell me not to this year because of the protocol and how things are. Hui at the front desk last night was superb, 100%. Chris served us this morning and was superb too. We'd had him last year. The first real hug I got this year was from Tanya, and that'll stay with me all year.
