The Artisan Suites

The room had a stunning view straight over the bay of Fundy, and the location was very convenient, really close to Hopewell rocks. It was a lovely bed and breakfast and an amazing stay. The spacious, beautiful room had a very comfortable king-size bed and an equally comfortable sofa-bed. We had a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee maker, toaster, fridge, stove, microwave, dishes, and utensils. The bathroom was bright and nice, and the soap was great. They also sell it at the shop. Breakfast was left in the fridge and was delicious, with different fruits, muffins, fudge, yogurt, and more. Absolutely perfect!

There's a picnic table right outside the large, beautifully decorated suite, perfect for a meal or just sitting around. You feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, even though everything is so close. The bed was super comfortable, and we could hear nothing from the Artizan Gift shop upstairs. The owners' paintings decorate the suite, and they're beautiful in their own right. The view is to die for. I'd definitely stay again.

Wendy was so polite and helpful, and I'd highly recommend staying here. The assistant at check-in answered all our questions about things to do. The hospitality really impressed me, especially when they brought out banana muffins fresh from the oven. There's also a fire pit with wood provided. It made the whole experience even better.

The suite had a fully functional kitchen, which came in handy when I decided to cook a steak on my second night. There was also a jacuzzi bath for a bit of pampering. The two suites at the back of the building look out over a sweeping garden to the river. My room was modern and well thought out, with electric heat. It was a bit cold that night, and I only learned later that the bathroom heater worked independently from the main living area. I arrived late, at 21:00. Wendy had left an envelope on the front door, but she still answered and let me into a really nice, well-appointed room. A few things needed sorting, though nothing was too much trouble and they dealt with it right away. Breakfast was a healthy spread of fruit, cheese, muffins, cereal, and more, already in the fridge with the other items on the counter. There was a toaster, so I wondered why they hadn't left a few slices of bread to go with the conserve. Hillsborough has a local mini market with most things you'd need, as well as a liquor store.
