These compact cottages were a lucky find while we looked for a place in Lunenberg. Marcus has them set up with what a couple needs: a queen bed, bedside tables and reading lamps, outlets above the headboard, a little table with two chairs, a complete kitchenette, and a three-piece bathroom with a shower. The AC and heat are whisper quiet. There’s also a small deck with chairs facing the sea across the road, plus a BBQ. A few drawbacks: the shower is cramped for larger people, the single-valve water setup doesn’t let you adjust flow separately from temperature, and the bathroom has no fan or hooks. Checkout is at 10am.

The bed was comfortable, and we slept well. It’s only a few minutes from Lunenburg, which makes it a nice place to slow down. The accommodations are peaceful and quiet, with attractive furnishings. The room was clean and had the essentials, including a small refrigerator. There’s a lovely water view and parking right in front of the cabin.

It’s a quiet, beautiful spot for relaxing, just five minutes from Lunenburg, though a little off the beaten track. After taking in the town, scenery, and culture, we enjoyed the good restaurants and pubs. The welcoming people added to the experience. This was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at.

We spent three nights here in August 2025 in a motel suite with a kitchenette. It was newly renovated and very clean, with a great distant view of the bay through the big front window. Each morning we sat in the chairs outside our suite, drinking coffee in the sunshine and enjoying the view. It was peaceful and quiet, and there’s access to a lovely rocky beach right across the road. Lunenburg has lots of restaurants less than a ten-minute drive away. Marcus was friendly and quick to respond to our needs. I highly recommend this motel.

We picked one of the smaller rooms. It was quite small, but we only needed somewhere to freshen up and sleep, and it was cleaner than a lot of hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. The setting was quiet and relaxing. One morning I could hear a barred owl calling. I’d definitely stay here again.
