Chateau Logue Hôtel

We stayed three nights for a family funeral. The hotel was nice enough, though there was no microwave in the room or breakfast. They charged us an extra $155 because we booked through Expedia. I've never had that happen before, and I'm not happy.

We had to change rooms after the first night because the toilet stopped working. The room itself wasn't very clean either: there was hard, crusty stuff on the sheets and the tub was dirty. I had specifically requested a microwave and was assured there'd be one, but the hotel said it wasn't possible when we arrived. The shared kitchen was dirty and gross. The pool area was extremely hot, had no ventilation, and smelled unbearably of chlorine. I was very unimpressed with the hotel and found it lacking some basic needs.

The place is quiet, but checkout is too early if you've spent time at the bar. Breakfast at the restaurant runs until 11, but I went at 11:05 and wasn't served. Those five minutes made all the difference, since checkout is also at 11 and breakfast was over. I moved the fridge to plug it in and found bugs underneath. I showed the front desk. 🦑

The staff were very friendly and helpful, including at the onsite restaurant, where the food was good, though not great. Our room was clean, nice, and fairly priced. The pillows could use an upgrade, and only one of our key cards worked on the door. The pool looked lovely, but neither of our cards could access it. We were pleased overall and would definitely come back sometime.
