The location is excellent, but $468.87 including tax for two nights felt like a lot for what seemed like a two-star hotel. We were there July 25-27, 2022, in pavilion room 623, and cleanliness was a serious issue. Food crumbs were still on the floor when we left, so the floor hadn’t been vacuumed. I know they were very busy, but the sheets and pillowcases smelled stale and felt damp, as if they hadn’t dried properly. I think there may have been bed bugs or other insects on the bed and pillow. I sleep on my side with a pillow between my knees, and woke up with bites on my legs and thigh. I reported it, though I don’t think the hotel believed us. The staff member was nice, but spoke very little English.

The Atlantic views were amazing, and the room itself was nice, with a comfortable bed and comforter. My food took forever to come from the restaurant. It was delicious when it arrived, though expensive.

The river-view room on the first floor had plenty of space and was clean inside. The river-view area outside wasn’t well maintained. The heater and the other facilities seemed to work well.

The restaurant was excellent, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and airy, with a beautiful view of the sea. The hotel facilities are all accessible, though you have to walk outside to reach them. The town centre is within walking distance.

We came as a group and all paid the same rate, but our room was the only one in the Pavilion, away from the rest of our team. It was cold and there was no hot water. We stayed two nights, and the towels were never replenished. There was no coffee in the morning, the steps hadn’t been cleared of snow, and parking was poor.
