The breakfast was the highlight, with eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, and continental options. The staff at the breakfast counter were so cheerful and made sure everyone was happy. A smiling employee really does make a difference. The pool was lovely and warm, and I loved the hot tub. The inn was very clean, and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Our room felt a little chilly when we arrived, but warmed up fast. We were on the QEW side, so there was some morning traffic noise. It didn’t bother me, though it could be an issue for sensitive guests. I’d recommend this place and will come back.

Lovely hotel. I stayed for a few weeks sometime between 2009 and 2011, and even now I remember all the corners of the building. I’m not sure if the name was Admiral Inn, but I’m pretty sure this is the place. I remember there was a mosque across the main street, and the breakfast was good, especially the delicious bread and morning tea.

The only good part was the free breakfast the next morning, though it ended at 9. Everything else was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Zero stars. Our room faced the highway and was loud at night. The pool was just okay, and the “hot tub” was pool temperature, nowhere near warm. The bed had no comforter, just a thin filler between flat sheets, tucked around the mattress. The mini fridge made a huge racket overnight, and the heater/AC unit hummed loudly even when idle. The shower pressure was so harsh it felt like a power washer. The front desk staff were extremely rude. I asked for another blanket, and one man came into my room, yanked at the thin sheet and sarcastically insisted it was a comforter. We had told the evening staff we wanted to extend our stay. He said that was fine and they’d charge our card, so we assumed they had the card we used at check-in on file. In the morning, while we were trying to sleep in after arriving very late from a holiday party, a woman pounded on the door like the police and yelled through it as if we were squatters. She said she had called, but we were asleep. Nothing we did justified being treated that way. I’ve never felt so violated. How can you work in customer service and speak to paying guests like that? For another 20-50 dollars, stay at the Hilton or Hampton next door for peace of mind. I’ll never spend another penny here.

We booked at the last minute after a horrible Airbnb experience, and because its location was farther away than we wanted. The hotel turned out better than I expected. The rooms are roomy, clean, and comfortable, with Netflix and a good TV. The beds are a bit hard but still comfortable. There’s food and shopping within walking distance, and it’s great for the price. I’d definitely stay again.

My wife, daughter, and daughter-in-law make this their regular place to stay for an annual girls’ shopping trip. They love the pool and hot tub. The breakfast is excellent, the hotel is clean, and the staff are really friendly. It’s also in a great spot right off the QEW.
