Executive Residency by Best Western Toronto-Mississauga

The rooms were spacious, so it could work for families watching their budget, but business travellers may want to look elsewhere. Breakfast was disappointing: the orange juice seemed to be powdered, and by day five there were only a few yogurts left, with nothing replenished that week. The pool had been closed by the health authority for nearly a month when my team arrived. On the day workers did something with it, the chemical smell in the hallway was so strong I wouldn’t walk down there. I can only imagine how it was for guests in the rooms across from it. I was also deeply concerned that some stairwell lights weren’t working.

We had a terrible stay. There were stains on the sheets and blood on one blanket, while the bathroom looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests. When we asked for a replacement blanket, staff acted like it was no big deal, didn’t apologize, and left. Our beds weren’t made and housekeeping never came by. Getting towels was just as frustrating. The housekeeper seemed bothered by the request, said they’d take about an hour, and never returned with them. Since it was checkout day, we gave up and left. Breakfast didn’t taste fresh either. Other negative reviews describe similar cleanliness problems, and it doesn’t seem like management has made improvements.

Our car was stolen from the hotel parking lot in less than 12 hours after we crossed the border with our family. We had parked behind the hotel, where the only on-site parking was. The front spaces were accessible parking. There were no cameras on the property or nearby buildings apart from one at the front entrance. Signs around the lot said the hotel wasn’t responsible for theft or vehicle damage, and the hotel didn’t help us. We reported the car missing to the police, but they haven’t helped either. This location is a hotspot for stolen cars.

We had plenty of room for our box truck, and the price was great for the quality. The room was amazing, very clean, with a great kitchen, comfy bed, and good bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful, and using the outdoor BBQ was fun. The gym was good too. Breakfast was good, though not great, and there’s an amazing Indian restaurant on site plus lots of food options nearby.
