Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel & Suites

The main drawback is the building noise. I could hear doors opening and closing along the hall, conversations near and beside my room, and flight traffic. I only slept about 3 hours, so light sleepers looking for a good rest before traveling may not do well here. If convenience and price matter more, it's a pretty good option. We booked two rooms, one king and one with two queens. The hotel is very convenient for YYZ: the shuttle ride from the airport is under 5 minutes, while the trip from the hotel can take a little longer in traffic but is manageable. The rooms were somewhat worn but clean and simple, and the beds and linens were comfortable. The bathroom is tight but manageable for a short overnight stay. The lobby bar seemed adequate and the menu looked interesting, though we didn't eat here.

We come here every time we're in Toronto, usually twice a year. It's close to the airport, the shuttle is very convenient, the amenities are top notch, and the rooms are always clean. Staff are consistently friendly, and we usually get great room upgrades. Carl out front is one of our favorite people to see. He's always helpful and friendly, and we look forward to seeing him. Last time we didn't spot him at first, which was disappointing, but he was there before we left and was just as helpful as ever. He really makes our stays better. We always have a great experience here.

For our Valentine's staycation, we booked a King Corner Suite and weren't disappointed. The lobby decorations for Valentine's were at a level you usually only see around Christmas. From 5pm-11pm there was also a snack cart with chocolates, candies, and other treats. Carl, the hotel manager, greeted guests and chatted with them as they chose what to take. He even suggested coming back at Halloween because they go all out. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, with lots of choices, including freshly made omelets. The indoor pool is described as heated. It wasn't cold, but I wouldn't really call it heated either; you get used to it after a bit. We'd come back, whether for a stopover or just somewhere to hang out and get away for a while.

We only stayed one night, but the hotel and service were great. Since we didn't want to wait, we skipped the shuttle. If you're able to take it, do, because taxis cost at least $28. Our flight was delayed, and we learned at the airport that our luggage would go straight to our destination. That was fine, except we were traveling with kids, so the hotel supplied toothbrushes and toothpaste. As Hilton Honors members, we also had a kettle and water waiting in our room. The only issue was that the bathroom door was hard to close. The location is great and the staff are very helpful.
