Studio 6 Mississauga, ON - Toronto

We stayed one night. The staff were pleasant, and the location was perfect for my doctor's appointments and getting back and forth on the highway. The rooms could use some TLC. I saw a couple of bugs, but it wasn't an infestation, and I let management know. I still haven't received my incidental deposit back. They said it had been released, but I'm a bit worried because I'm a person with a disability and have seen prior reviews about this. Even so, it's a good place to stay in a pinch.

The price was very low, and the room was a bit bigger than you get at most hotels. But the place wasn't clean. A cockroach greeted us when we walked in, and there were marks on the walls from others that had been squashed. The bed was much too soft, and its frame kept shifting on the floor. Too much.

The laundry and vacuuming staff were friendly, but the motel was not very clean, and you seem to be expected to live with the cockroaches. You have to make your own bed and clean your suite or risk losing the $100 deposit. They only make the bed after you leave. It also isn't really smoke-free, despite saying it is. Staff and the rude manager don't strictly stop people from smoking, and you can smell it in the hallway. In the evenings, there was nobody at the desk and no answer on the phone. If I'd known what the place was like, I wouldn't have extended my stay so quickly.

The only decent parts were check-in and the shower pressure. Bugs and ants were everywhere, and the bathroom sink was filthy. We couldn't get through to the front desk on the room phone, which kept saying it was closed, so I had to call from my own phone because there was only one shampoo and they wouldn't bring another. The bed was the worst I've ever slept in, springs poking me all over. I couldn't sleep on it.
