Leah Jane's Bed & Breakfast

For three days, this was a lovely little break that didn’t strain my budget. I slept better than I have in years, and the other guests had plenty of interesting life stories and experiences to share. I’d happily come back.

The house was cozy and comfortable, with a lovely rose-themed bathroom. The hosts were kind. I only know one of their names, Ron:) And there were kittens, six of them!! So sweet. I’d love to stay here again 💗

The location was the best part of the B&B. Ron, the owner, was great and checked that we had everything we needed during our two-night stay. Room 6 worked well for us, with its own entrance, bathroom, desk, and kitchenette. We were two adults with a baby and dog; the other two adults in our group stayed in room 5, which had the basics and a fridge. The house and rooms could have been cleaner. Breakfast was cereal, toast, and yogurt, though it might not all be available when you want it, so you have to ask. Stayed August 2015, travelled with family.

I felt unsafe and uncomfortable the whole time, enough that I tried to get an earlier flight. I still left early and slept at the airport instead. The owner was friendly enough, but the staff were extremely unprofessional, with constant swearing, inappropriate conversations, name-calling about former employees, and current employees who smelled like marijuana. I asked some locals what they thought of the place and never got a good answer. The list goes on, and I wish I were making this up. Stay away. The room had torn, sagging blinds, with a stained hole in the wall underneath, and stains across the carpet. The public shower had only a curtain between it and the house, so it seemed like anyone could walk in. I didn’t even try it. In the shared bathroom, other people’s toothbrushes, bleach, and assorted cleaning supplies were left on the counter. The paper towel provided was stained too. I love cats, but not when they’re in the kitchen on counters and people’s chairs at breakfast.
