Gite L'Imprévu

Rita and Dan were good hosts, the breakfast was amazing, and the location was great. Saint Henri is a charming little neighborhood with plenty to do within walking distance. Make time for Atwater Market. I stayed in two rooms during my visit. Both were good, though the second had a little more space and was better organized. Each had a window A/C unit, which was essential in the city heat. There’s no A/C in the shared areas. The common bathroom serves three rooms, so as many as six people might share it. I sometimes had to wait, which was inconvenient but manageable. I’d recommend Gite L'Imprevu and hope to visit again.

The rooms were cozy, and ours had a sink inside with the bathroom just outside the door. It was quiet too, with no noise from the other guests. Rita and Dan made us feel welcome right away. On our first morning, Rita served breakfast on their lovely deck among all the plants and flowers. I couldn't believe how much delicious food she had made. I ate more than I thought I could manage. There was one other guest, visiting for business, and we had some nice conversations over meals. Rita was charming to talk with, answered our questions, and recommended where to get Montréal bagels. I'll book here again on my next winter trip to Montréal. Rita even offered to help me get past my fear of ice skating :)

We felt safe and comfortable the whole time, and the location was excellent. We left our car parked for the full three days, since street parking right out front is free, and used a three-day metro pass to get everywhere we needed. Breakfast was fantastic each day, and sharing it with the other guests was one of the nicest parts of the stay. Rita and Dan are caring, down-to-earth hosts who kept checking that we had what we needed. The rooms and shared bathroom were very clean, and they made sure we were comfortable throughout. We'd highly recommend them. You don't get this kind of kindness and care at a standard hotel or Airbnb.

I was in Montreal for a conference and had a great stay at L'imprevu. The garden is wonderful, with an incredible variety of plants, and the rooms were lovely and clean. The shared bathroom was clean as well. Rita and Dan are great hosts, happy to help visitors enjoy their stay. It was a pleasure talking with them, and the breakfasts were just great.
