I’m mostly writing this to remind myself not to book here again. I’ve stayed three times, between 2010 and 2025, and the restaurant and pool were closed on every visit. The complimentary coffee is weak, and you can hear people through the walls. A floor was reserved for hospital outpatients the last time I stayed. A steady stream of people in wheelchairs waiting for the elevators made them somewhat useless. The location also seems to attract teams and tour groups, so with a small front desk staff, check-in can take quite a while if a big group arrives at the same time as you.

Do not stay here. The hotel looked nothing like the photos, and we didn’t feel safe as a group of young girls. Multiple floors are used as government housing, and we saw residents getting in trouble over property destruction. The beds were not clean, there was blood in the tub, and the other three rooms we were shown were dirty too. We left right away and had to find another hotel.

I’ve stayed here twice for concerts and would come back. The Bell Centre is so close that the location can’t be beat. It’s a standard hotel, the rooms are clean, and the staff are very friendly. There’s a community clinic, and some rooms house people visiting the clinic, but everyone was friendly and I personally never felt unsafe as a young woman traveling alone. Concordia University is nearby, so there are plenty of inexpensive food options. It was also easy to meet up with friends who live in town, and the metro is less than a 10-minute walk away.

Hard to decide whether I’d stay again. The price and location are tough to beat: shops, restaurants, and a metro station are all within walking distance. Staff were pleasant, including the cleaning crew who greeted us in the hall, and our clean room had a nice view. Someone also caught that I’d been charged twice for parking and refunded the second charge before I had to complain. There were too many drawbacks, though. Only one elevator worked, so trips up and down took a long time and we were crammed in with other people. The beds and pillows weren’t comfortable. Some fixtures were modern, but cheap-looking wallpaper and flooring had clearly been put over old, cracked surfaces. The walls were thin, so we heard people talking on our floor, and doors had to be pulled hard to shut, with slams echoing down the hall all night.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I had car trouble, and they let me leave the car there overnight. The location is good and the rooms are nice, though the bathrooms are very small. They could do more vacuuming in the hallways, and some room surfaces need dusting. The carpet needs a cleanup, and the phone and lamp were very dusty. See attached photo.
