Hotel Faubourg Montreal

We only stayed one night, but slept great. I expected the bed to leave me sore, but it didn’t. The room was spacious, more like a condo than a typical hotel room, and comfortable for the reasonable price. It was clean, though the carpets could use some TLC. What I especially liked was the security: you need your room key to get in, unlike some so-called three-star hotels where anyone can walk in and out. I’m writing because the bad reviews made it hard for me to choose this place. A negative review makes sense when something really is bad, but don’t be malicious just to hurt a business. If you don’t know what a luxurious room looks or feels like, you might complain here because you have nothing to compare it with. And if you chose to stay here instead of having to, you may complain because you couldn’t do better. This place might be cleaner than the houses of some people who call it dirty. Stay home, then.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Hauborg. My room was spacious and came with a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave, and the staff were kind and attentive. The key cards would stop working when placed next to magnetic objects, but staff fixed the problem easily. I like this hotel and would definitely stay again.

The downtown location is excellent, with easy access to major attractions, shopping malls, and restaurants, and the price was reasonable for what you get. I’d consider staying here again. The building is a bit old, but the staff gave good service throughout and even kept my luggage safe after checkout, which I appreciated. My one-bedroom suite was spacious and clean, with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sink. Breakfast was acceptable, though more variety would make it more appealing. A solid choice for convenience, comfort, and value.

The room was spacious and had a microwave and refrigerator, but there were problems throughout the stay. The coffee maker and the water in it were dirty, so I didn’t feel comfortable using it. The room was surprisingly dark, the heater was loud, and noise from the stairs and elsewhere kept waking me through the night. The shower’s hot water suddenly stopped and turned cold, so I had a cold shower in the middle of winter. The conditioner and body lotion were empty from the first day. I asked for refills the next day, but the lotion was still empty. The bathroom fan was dirty, and there was hair from previous guests on the ceiling and in the tub. I honestly wondered whether the room had been cleaned properly. The entrance door also failed to open several times, and the front desk did nothing to help. I saw other guests struggle too. People had to wait for someone to come out or for another guest with a working key card to let them in, then enter together.
