Hotel Uville is in a beautiful, quiet area near the old Port at old Montreal, a great spot if you want to walk around. It also felt very safe to me. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained. I’m picky about hotel cleanliness, since I don’t expect most places to be as clean as home, but here the floors, amenities, ducts, and picture frames were all dust-free. The rooms have a distinctive heritage feel, with a different Montreal era and theme on each floor. There are documentaries and slide shows you can watch in your room, and we loved learning about the "Quiet Revolution ". Breakfast is delivered to your room each morning, usually a baked good, with gluten-free options, and juice. It’s a nice touch. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and handled any issues we raised with care and attention. They made me feel like the only guest and went above and beyond to help. I’d recommend this as one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had.

We loved the complimentary light breakfast and sitting in the bar area in the morning. The hot chocolate was AMAZING, don’t skip it! Hotel Uville was beautifully decorated, and our room was cozy, quiet, and had everything we needed. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. It’s well located, within walking distance of old Montreal and the Metro. There’s no parking on site, but we found a nearby spot for $36 CAD a day. My husband and I had a wonderful three-night stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting this neighbourhood.

The hotel is a living museum, which I hadn’t really understood when I booked. Each room has different photographs, and every floor focuses on a different period, tracing Montreal’s early history through Expo 1967. There are lots of documentaries and slide shows to watch in the room, and we loved learning about the "Quiet Revolution ". We had a wonderful time walking to restaurants and exploring old Montreal. What a beautiful city and people. Our room was clean, the shower was great, and I liked the flooring without carpeting. The sink is separate from the shower and toilet. The bed and linens were very comfortable, there were charging ports on both sides of the bed, a good mini fridge, and a breakfast tray to use. The only thing missing was a full-length mirror. Breakfast was simple but we really enjoyed it. There’s a coffee maker in the room, and you can take your basket down to the cafe for espresso or a pot of tea. The cafe also made great coffee drinks and had lovely wine.

The location made my trip back from London so much easier, and the hotel itself turned out to be a lovely find. It has a vintage feel but is still comfortable, with a lot of thought put into the design. I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere during my layover.

Breakfast brought right to the room each morning was such a treat. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, and housekeeping did a great job. I also liked how the decor worked in Montreal’s history through the decades. Everyone was warm and helpful, especially when they saw I only knew basic French and were glad to speak English with me. The location is convenient, with a short walk to the metro for getting farther around the city. I had a lovely stay at Uville and would recommend it to anyone visiting Montreal.
