Le Mille-Iles – Complexe La Voûte by KASANIA

We loved sitting on the rooftop and taking in the spectacular sunset over the lake. The room was such a cute little gem, with everything we needed and thoughtful touches like baskets in the nightstand that made it feel homey. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

After the first day, we really enjoyed our stay. The room was well stocked, and when I asked about a thermostat issue, the help team replied quickly and stayed available throughout. The hotel is within driving distance of downtown Montreal, shops, parks, and great views, though even in good weather you should expect at least a 25-30 minute drive. Our first long stay in Laval and Montreal came with rain and construction, so there was a lot to adjust to. We might come back, since the design is nice and the staff are kind and welcoming. Our arrival was a rough start: flooding closed Highway 40 and other city roads, and we got there around midnight during a power outage. We were glad the room manual listed an emergency number with someone reachable 24 hours, but the kind staff member we spoke with couldn’t reassure us about the outage or provide a flashlight or candles. Our phones were running low, and they were our only light. At least the hotel still had hot water that night. Power returned before noon the next day, but the team or owner didn’t check on us after we had arrived without electricity. The only update I got was a request from the owner for guests to check for flooding in the laundry room or gym.

The condo was clean, looked just like the description, and had straightforward check-in instructions. It was easy to communicate with the hosts, and we had a wonderful stay at Complexe La Voûte - Condo-hôtels. We knew Montreal would be about an hour away with traffic, and it was worth the drive. There was a gym and sauna, but flooding that weekend in MTL/Laval made them unavailable. They looked very nice, though, and we’d absolutely stay here again.

The apartment was tidy and clean, with fresh-smelling sheets and towels. We also had strong WiFi for work, and the bedroom felt private and well isolated from neighbor noise. The modern bathroom and kitchen made the space feel open and wide, and the kitchen had all the appliances and utensils we needed. There’s a gym and sauna too. La Voute Condo is about five minutes from Terrebonne historical sights, in the Laval area, and sits on a quiet side street. Shops and restaurants in the town center are walkable in under 10-15 minutes. The entrance could use more curtains for privacy, and another inside lock would help us feel safer. Even so, it was a 10/10 for us, and we highly recommend it.
