The staff are generous and kind, and the location is incredible. I really liked the thoughtfully designed dorm beds, with cozy privacy, plus the excellent bathrooms and showers. There’s a wonderful rooftop terrace, and the kitchen, lounge, and bar are great too. It’s easy to unwind by yourself or meet interesting people from all over the world. I love this place.

The staff made things easy, with a helpful team and a simple check-in, and the hotel felt very safe. Our room was quiet, clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a great bed, private bathroom, and full kitchen. The rooftop hot tub and pool were a nice extra. We were there on a random Tuesday in May, so I can’t say whether it’s the same when it’s busier, but the common areas weren’t packed and there wasn’t much noise. We were too worn out from traveling to check the bar, though the breakfast area looked cool. We had a 24-hour layover between a trip to the US west coast and Europe, and this was just right for somewhere to rest. We didn’t explore the city, so I can’t really judge the location. The immediate area seemed a little sketchy, but we only ordered DoorDash, so that impression is based on very little. For the price, it was a total steal. Highly recommend.

The location worked perfectly for me as someone who likes to stay active: there’s a bus straight from the airport, a gym 50 meters away, a pool 200 meters away, running by the harbour, and Mont-Royal nearby. It’s close to the harbour, Chinatown, Downtown, and a nice main street with lots of bars. It’s also one of the cheaper hostels in Montreal. I spent a month in Canada and stayed here several times for 2-3 days at a time. From my first day, it felt like the best place to be in Montreal. The interns made me feel at home and included me in hanging out, events, and trips to bars. You can also keep to yourself and have some peace, or find plenty of people to talk with. The staff were great too. I wish I’d stayed longer. It was very clean, with plenty of kitchen space for chatting or working. The beds were clean and comfortable, with individual curtains. The intern bar was a bonus, with table-tennis, a piano, and karaoke. I’ll definitely come back!

The beds are definitely more comfortable than bunk beds, so for one or two nights the room might be worth considering. They’re set up as cubicles with shelves, which made organizing my things really easy. The rooms were nice, clean, and felt new for the price. My main issue was the staff. I tried to use the kitchen at night, and a female staff member rudely said it was closed. One person even laughed hysterically, as if it was ridiculous to think I could get a glass of water before bed. Apparently the common areas are closed at night, which is especially inconvenient when that’s where guests keep their food and refrigerated items. I’ve never run into that at other hostels. The rude, hostile interaction and lack of nighttime access would make me recommend other Montreal hostels. If I didn’t want a kitchen or common area, I’d have booked a hotel.

This place was basically my home whenever work brought me to town, and I fell in love with it. The rooms are always tidy and organized, and the jacuzzi is great after a workday. The basement bar is lively, though it only takes cash. At least there’s an ATM onsite. The staff are incredible. On my first night, Iain recommended some cool places to visit and was so nice. Anai and Diarmuid brought the warmest energy in the mornings and evenings and were always ready to help. Marco promptly helped me twice with technical problems in my room. Emma and Zephyr aren’t there anymore, but they were wonderful people who always welcomed me to the city with kindness and positivity. If you need a comfortable, affordable place to stay in town, I recommend it.
