Motel Le Marquis

The woman at the desk was smoking during check-in, and the first room had dirty carpet and bathroom walls. With no shelf, the towels were left on the tiny sink. We got a cleaner room for the second night, but there was no hairdryer and the wifi was extremely slow. A disappointing stay.

We paid over 200 CAD for two rooms, and I wouldn't recommend this place if you have other options. In the non-smoking room, the sheets and blankets had big burn holes. All the rooms smelled damp, and one non-smoking room had such a strong smell of weed that even a whole bottle of air freshener spray didn't clear it. I don't know how this place got two stars. The rooms were pathetic.

The rates are really amazing, and the workers are very polite. They came every day to tidy the room and asked if there was anything we needed to make the stay better. I had a very pleasant visit and am booking again in May for my birthday. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying a few nights in Montreal.

A nice, well-located place that wasn't expensive. The bathroom was impeccable, with towels and soap, and the queen bed was nicely made, though it only had two little pillows. There's a TV, but it's Videotron cable, so don't expect many interesting channels. It also has air conditioning and a heater.
