The Ritz-Carlton, Montréal

We’ll always remember that night at The Ritz. We’d just received incredibly good, hopeful health news, and I started crying as we approached the Lounge host stand just inside the door. I hadn’t meant for it to happen that way, but it did. The blonde woman at the host desk was so thoughtful and kind. She went out of her way to care for us and help us feel comfortable. I wanted to thank her again, but when we came back to the city next time, she wasn’t there. We’ve returned two or three times since and still haven’t seen her. We’re grateful to her and to The Ritz for having such lovely staff. It was a big moment for us. Thank you.

The hotel itself was a very enjoyable stay, and I’d happily come back. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and lovely, with a shower that turns into a hammam, a real treat after a long day. The gym is easy to access and very well equipped. Staff across the teams are generally kind, welcoming, and professional, so you feel looked after right away. The spa was the letdown. The welcome was good, but the massage felt more like patting and shaking than an actual massage. It was frustrating, and below the hotel’s standard. I’d return to the hotel, just not the spa.

We arrived before our reservation time and they seated us graciously, no problem at all. Every detail of Afternoon High Tea felt thoughtful and elegant, from the stunning décor to the impeccable service. The food was exquisite and the tea selection was outstanding. A completely unforgettable experience, insane in the best way. Worth every moment, highly recommend.

We were there for three nights with the family, and the rooms were spacious, lovely, and had everything we needed. The restaurants were fantastic, and the gym was well equipped. Staff in general were warm and welcoming, making an effort to engage every time we interacted. Veronica and Arlene were especially sweet. They went above and beyond to make our young son feel special for his birthday. Even before the trip, Veronica and the guest relations team got in touch to check that we had what we needed. Highly recommend for a wonderful Montreal stay.
