The Lodge at Arrow Lakes

The restaurant on site really blew us away, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely four-night stay at The Lodge at Arrow Lakes. Our room was spacious and clean. This little hotel is a gem right in the heart of Nakusp ❤️

I've been coming here since I was a kid, and the restaurant is the only part I can speak to. The Philly cheese steak beef dip is why I make the drive from Revy to Nakusp once a month. I've travelled far and wide and tried plenty of sandwiches, but this is the best thing I've ever tasted. The newest version is my favourite, though the new garlic aioli is offputtingly mustardy. To each their own. I'll keep up the monthly trip to the lodge as long as they keep serving the dip à la Philly cheese. It's the best, and I can't stress that enough. If anyone there is reading, please bring back the Nasty Habit from Begbie brewing. The other IPAs from Nelson Brewing are crap.

The food was delicious, and the prices seemed reasonable with everything costing more in Fall 2025. Our mains, including the lamb, were great, and we found a really well-priced bottle of wine. Service was very friendly, with some nice places to sit. We came back for dinner the next night because the menu had more variety than some other restaurants in town. That was after stopping in during our three-night vacation for happy hour, when we enjoyed tasty snacks and a drink or two. I know there are some higher-rated places in town, but for the full experience, I really recommend the Lodge.

The lounge has great service and tasty food, but there's not much atmosphere in the hotel itself. It's super convenient if you're staying one night and heading straight out, though the rooms are small and very utilitarian. You'd hear a noisy neighbour.
