Apple d'Or

Walking the nearby loop of wineries worked well for us, since so many others are best reached by car or bike, which isn’t ideal when you both want to taste wine. We came for three nights on our Okanagan honeymoon and absolutely loved the stay. The grounds are gorgeous, and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom shower was so nice. Breakfast was great too: omelets one morning, French toast, then egg bites another day, with lots of extra options. We definitely hope to stay again.

We stayed in two rooms and had a fantastic time. The property is gorgeous, and the hosts were warm and welcoming. Breakfast was freshly made, with lattes and home-baked treats. Our rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Robert is a charming host, full of travel stories about France and good local restaurant tips. I loved the morning cappuccino from that beast of a machine in the entrance, and the fresh squeezed orange juice was sublime. The location makes it easy to get onto the KVR. We spent four lovely days here at the start of spring. The grounds had beautiful tulips, and the roses should be spectacular in a few weeks. The log house is an incredible structure to look at. Bench d’or is its own little Faulty Towers for those of us from that era. We laughed and loved the whole time.

The owners and their team were perfect hosts, and we really enjoyed the breakfasts, pool, and private terrace for a glass of wine. Our suite was large, with a kitchenette, BBQ, and comfortable furnishings. Bench D'Or is a beautiful log home overlooking the lake. It’s within walking distance of a few wineries, restaurants, Naramata village, and the Kettle Valley Trail. A wonderful, relaxing stay. We highly recommend it!
