A dirty iron left a stain on my new white shirt that morning. The curtains didn't keep out the light from the illuminated sign outside my window, and the heat wouldn't switch off.

After we got back from touring the Gaspé peninsula, our room still hadn't been cleaned, so everything we already didn't have enough of was dirty too. We were two couples staying for two nights, but the room was set up for just two people when we arrived, with too little coffee, mugs, glasses, and towels. There was no microwave either, despite it being advertised. The front desk wouldn't or couldn't provide the extra service we needed, and the hotel refused to help. At $200 a night, quite possibly my worst hotel stay ever.

The balconies looked out over a pristine river, and the rooms were nice and spacious. There are walking trails too. Highway 132 is very close and brings unnecessary noise, unfortunately, but it's still a great place for a pit stop or a couple of nights.
