HeatherCroft Bed and Breakfast

Larry and Chrystal's breakfasts were a real treat. The eggs benedict and pancakes were delicious, the homemade sourdough toast was just right, and the jams tasted so fresh. We also enjoyed chatting around the table with the other guests, which added to the welcoming, home-like feel. The cats were a little timid but very sweet and made the house feel even cozier. We were a group of women in our thirties staying at The House of Elsie Bed and Breakfast in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The house is full of history and charm, with vintage art and books you could spend days enjoying. It's clear Larry and Chrystal care about preserving their beautiful old home and sharing it with guests.

Chrystal and Larry were warm, attentive hosts who loved sharing stories about the history of the building and neighbourhood, as well as the beautiful vintage things they've collected around the house. Chrystal even demonstrated their very cool gramophone, which was a highlight. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the location made it easy to get to the places we wanted to see in the NOTL area. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious each morning. We especially appreciated how willing they were to accommodate one of our dietary needs. The House of Elsie has lots of charm and character, along with genuinely warm hospitality. We had a magical stay, highly recommend it, and can't wait to return. Thanks, Chrystal and Larry!

The breakfasts were a standout, with farm-fresh eggs, homemade sourdough, and delicious fruit and vegetables straight from the garden. Chrystal's jams and jellies are a must. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the house had a wonderful feel, and the hosts were charming. I loved my stay at The House Of Elsie and will definitely return to enjoy HOL and nearby NOTL.

The house is a charming old place with lovely decor, and our room was very comfortable. Chrystal's breakfasts were out of this world, made from scratch with home-grown ingredients. We even took a couple of her homemade jams home with us. Chrystal and Larry were friendly and engaging hosts who quickly made us feel at home, like part of the family. They also had lots of useful information and recommendations for the area. Thanks to them, our stay in Niagara on the Lake was a memorable one. We absolutely loved it!
