Breakfast in the garden, with exotic flowers, hummingbirds, and a cinematic view of the bay, was a highlight. Our French omelettes were fluffy and impeccable, brought right to our cottage overlooking the sea. The hosts are sunny, kind, fascinating people and fabulous chefs. We stayed in Laburnum Cottage, which felt like waking up in a cozy enchanted forest. Belle Maison has luxurious suites filled with light and freshly ironed linen, and the whole place feels like a rare, truly special retreat. If you care about natural beauty, architecture, thoughtful service, and food made with care, you’ll love it.

The top-floor room, “the Nest,” was cozy and wonderfully quiet for sleeping. Ross and RuthAnn were the best hosts, and breakfast was both delightful and delicious. It’s a lovely, relaxing hideaway, yet Sidney is close by for dining and shopping. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

We came for a five-day working vacation while house hunting nearby, and finding this place was incredible. The 3rd floor Nest was a treat, with views across Land's End, over the channel, and toward SaltSpring Island. Ross and RuthAnne greeted us warmly and made us feel at ease right away. Breakfast was substantial, and I loved the classic French omelette so much, especially how cheesy and creamy it was, that I had one every day. The New England-style building is stately and perched high above the terrain. I’d highly recommend this boutique B&B for an enjoyable, memorable romantic stay. Well worth it!

We had the top-floor king suite, with plenty of well-appointed space and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good, and our hosts were gracious and helpful. Highly recommend!
