CastleView Inn by Elevate Rooms

Our outside coordinator had to track down the owner, and without them I’m not sure how the wedding day would have gone. The owner was hard to find, even though we had booked Castleview in April 2018 for our October 5, 2019 wedding. By then, the venue had gone through about six event coordinators and was very difficult to reach. The property is beautiful, but the service was stressful and unprofessional. They didn’t follow our contract or provide many promised things, including parking staff, bathroom upkeep, garbage bags, tables and chairs, putting the livestock away, keeping the fire going at night, and breakfast the next morning. The chickens weren’t put away as I’d asked. They ate some of our cake and kept coming into the tent while people were eating, which felt like a sanitation issue. There were other people on the property who weren’t part of the wedding. The owner had guests on the back deck as I was about to walk down the aisle, and people were cutting grass on machines during the event. That should have been handled beforehand. The next morning, the owner was nowhere to be found when breakfast was supposed to be provided. One gate was locked, so overnight guests had to weave their cars across the property to reach another exit. The owner is very nice, but I’d like to spare other couples the stress we had.
