Club Tadoussac

We had driven for six hours when they told us there were no rooms available. I had reserved through booking.com and even received a confirmation email from the place saying everything was set. If they don't know how booking.com works, they shouldn't use it to attract more clients. Terrible.

The lake view is stunning, and the place is clean and quiet. It's not fancy or luxurious, but breakfast is reasonably priced, filling, and well organised. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I only wish I'd gone for a swim in the lake.

Chalet No 5 was more than I expected. It has two small cabins, each with two bunk beds, plus a kitchen with an oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee machine. There's also a bathroom with a shower, its own boiler, a barbecue, and a fireplace. Charcoal and firewood are available. It can accommodate up to four people. The property consists of several chalets, most of them standalone, scattered around a lake in the woods.

It's lovely and quiet by the lake, and a fisherman's paradise. Tadoussac is super close, too. The outside has a rugged cottage feel, but inside it's quite nice and modern. We were pleasantly surprised.
