The fishway was fun to check out, even though the General Store across the street was closed. We had a nice overnight stay, with great service and a quiet, clean, comfortable room. The bed was comfy too. The glass wall between the bedroom and bathroom meant you could clearly see the other person using the toilet. We laughed about it, but it was pretty strange. Breakfast was just what we needed: yoghurt, granola, fruit, and a homemade muffin. The tap water smelled pretty bad, though, and we were thirsty during our stay because there wasn't anywhere to get drinking water. Usually places with well water have a cooler for that. The morning coffee was really bad, probably because of both the beans and the well water. Tea bags were available in the lounge, but only caffeinated ones. We had a wonderful time and recommend the place. Maybe get your morning coffee on the road or in Goderich.

The property was beautiful, well kept, and in a great location. Our host was friendly and so accommodating, and we really enjoyed staying here with our family. Breakfast the next morning was the best hotel breakfast we've had in a while. The rooms were still clean and charming, though they could use some updates. A beautiful stay!

It was calm and relaxing around the inn, and less than 15 minutes from Goderich. Angus, the owner and host, treated us well. The inn has a vintage feel but is cozy, comfortable, and clean, with modern amenities like wifi and TV. Walking in and staying there felt like being in a movie. Highly recommended, we enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was delicious, and the location was beautiful, just a short walk from the water. Angus, the host and owner, was warm and welcoming, and the clean, cozy rooms had lots of charm. I had a wonderful stay at the Port Albert Inn and would happily come back!

Angus, the owner, was incredibly friendly and made the inn feel warm and inviting. The old property is beautifully maintained, with its history intact and comfort taken care of. It has a cozy atmosphere, and both the beach and river are just a short walk away, making it a perfect place to relax. I spent a day at Port Albert Inn recently and found it delightful. I'd definitely come back with my lovely girlfriend. It's a perfect getaway, and I highly recommend this charming spot for a peaceful retreat!
