Sherwood Inn

The trails and winter activities were a highlight for me. I went skiing and snowshoeing, and both were a lot of fun. Sherwood Inn is in a beautiful, peaceful, scenic spot that’s ideal for a relaxing break. We stayed Friday to Sunday for two nights and had a wonderful time. Staff throughout were friendly, polite, and ready to help, and room service was very good. The guy at the bar was especially great, happy to explain the beers and liquor and clearly enjoying his work. I’d recommend Sherwood Inn and would love to return.

The rooms need some work. Sound carries badly between them, so noisy neighbors are easy to hear, and from beside the wall we could clearly hear water moving through pipes in the next room. Our heating worked perfectly on the first night, then stopped the second. The grounds are beautiful and offer plenty to do even in a snowy spring, and the inn’s staff and food were excellent.

Winter scenery here is magical, and we had fun cross country skiing and hiking, though there isn’t much else to do in winter. This was our first winter visit to Shereood in. The rooms, furniture, and carpets are getting dated, and I hope they renovate soon because we love spending time here. The old skis and boots really need replacing, especially with these amenities costing $88 per stay.

Jonathan made our Sherwood Inn stay special with how helpful and professional he was. As Food & Beverage Manager, he handled the dining experience, helped us on the skating rink, and even jump started our car when we got stuck. He’s a real jack of all trades, and that level of dedication is rare. Our experience was exceptional thanks to him.
