The chalet worked out really well for my first moose hunt on this side of the coast, in area 2. I booked it without knowing much about the place, but the location and lodging were both great. Portland Creek pond/river is right there and looks promising for fly fishing, and the nearby side roads lead toward the transmission lines for hunting. I'd recommend staying here if you're in the area.

We spent two nights here, and the cabins had everything we needed. The resort sits beside a gorgeous Salmon River and a big pond, so there are options for fishing or swimming. The staff were really friendly, and there's a new playground for the kids too. A beautiful place for a getaway, definitely recommend it.

The mountain view from this beautiful cabin is amazing, and the lakeside is only a two-minute walk away. We saw salmon jumping in the river. There's a bench and picnic tables nearby where you can sit and take in the view.

After a long drive, we got a call just ten minutes before arrival saying we'd be charged an extra $40 per night for our two dogs for all six nights. My wife had called ahead to confirm they knew we were bringing the dogs, and had been assured it was fine. With nowhere else to stay and no ferry available for another week, we felt we had no choice. It felt like extortion. They later agreed to refund half, but made it seem like the problem was our fault, even though they'd known well in advance about the dogs. The place was advertised as pet friendly with pets free.

The team made our wedding day as stress-free and perfect as they could, especially Ryan and Danielle. The location is stunning, the atmosphere is unbelievable, and the staff were so friendly and flexible. My wife and I got married here about two weeks ago. We booked the cabins/lodge for five days and four nights, and were lucky to stay in the pods for a few nights too. They're more like luxury camping cabins, with an unbelievable view. Can't wait to come back and try the fishing excursions they offer. Love you guys ❤️
