The photos make it look appealing, but the stay felt confrontational. The location is handy, on the edge of a lively area, though parking is extremely tight. Two SUVs barely fit side by side, and my car door got scratched. The old building also has steep, winding stairs and no fire system.

We had a calm, comfortable stay in a clean, cozy room. It was easy to explore Old Québec from here, about a 30-minute walk to Château Frontenac. We'd happily come back.

We spent four nights here and enjoyed being close to shops and restaurants. La Fête de la Musique was happening on Saint-Jean, right outside, with live performances and a pedestrian-friendly street, and we also liked the rooftop terrace. The room was spacious and clean, and getting in was easy once we worked through an issue with the instructions being sent to my cell number, which wasn't working in Quebec. After that, every interaction was positive and very responsive. It's an older building, so the floors and stairs creak.

Room number 7 was lovely. It has two rooms, plenty of space, and a great view from the windows, especially at night. The location is great too.

We settled in quickly thanks to an easy check-in, and we could unload our luggage right by the entrance with parking nearby. The room was stylish and comfortable, a relaxing place to come back to after exploring. Old Quebec was easy to visit from this well-placed hotel, and the stay was more enjoyable than we'd expected.
