That spot is hard to beat. La Maison Kent - Par Aneyro is just steps from the Fairmont le Château Frontenac, in the upper part of Old Quebec's city center. To reach the lower part, you can take the funicular or use the stairs. The building has historic charm, while the rooms are spacious and modern. Having a kitchenette was handy. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows weren't great, and the barn-style bathroom door never closed fully and could swing back open. There's a small cafe on the main floor, but its hours and service were a bit hit or miss. We expected self-service check-in, but someone was there downstairs to welcome us. I'd definitely recommend staying here, especially for the location.

We spent three nights here in February 2026, my husband, stepdaughter, and me. The room had plenty of space, and the kitchenette made breakfast and snacks for our long sightseeing days easy. At $150 USD a night, I thought it was a great price for the room size, historic style, and location close to everything. The front desk setup had recently changed, so there was in-person service as well as a small cafe and convenience store. One small heads-up: the bathroom's sliding barn door has a gap, and sounds carry. That didn't bother us since we're family. I highly recommend La Maison Kent if you're after affordable luxury in Quebec City.

You couldn't ask for a better location, just a three-minute walk from the Chateau Frontenac. The lobby convenience store had a delightful, kind man serving delicious fresh coffee and the best warm croissant we've ever had. Our room was beautiful, spacious, clean, and quiet, with a modern yet rustic feel and a comfortable king bed. The elevator was essential and very useful. We could use the floor's washer and dryer for free, though we had to bring our own detergent. The virtual front desk worked well for us. They answered quickly and attentively, and checked in each morning to ask how our night had gone. My one request would be more English-language TV options. We watched CNN because there were no movies available, so maybe a ROKU would help. For the location and everything else, it was great value.

The snowfall was heavy while we were there, and we appreciated the heated floors and the snow being cleared at least twice a day. It was also quiet indoors and out, which made the stay relaxing. We were happy with our second-floor room. It was well equipped and everything worked, including the coffee pods, kettle, and fridge. The thick curtains kept the room warm and dark. The decor felt luxurious but still comfortable and welcoming. Getting there and into the room was easy, and the elevator made coming and going simple. We'd gladly recommend the hotel and stay again.

So spacious and quiet, with high ceilings and tall windows. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The hotel is in a great spot, two doors from the chateau and a minute from where most tours meet. It mixes historic character with modern facilities. I can't recommend it enough.
